Antique bronze sculpture bust of Beethoven by Alfredo Pina, an Italian artist who worked in France. The bronze has a lovely patina and stands on a circular marble base. The work is signed and cast in the lost wax technique, with A.G. Paris foundry mark France ca. 1915.  Alfredo Pina was born in 1887 and died in 1966.  He studied under Rodin and became his assistant.  This model is also in the collection of the Museum in Montpellier.
