Literature | Vincenzo Calli is a painter who lives and works in Anghiari. In 1984 he was invited to the World-Exposition in New Orleans, while in 1986 he received the “Arte 86” award of the magazine Mondadori for painting and exhibited in the Galleries The Parameter of Rome and Salomon and Augustoni Algranti of Milan. In 1993 the gallerist Michel Dauberville invites the artist with a solo exhibition at the historic Bernheim-Jeune Art Gallery in Paris, where he exhibited the great painters from Renoir to Cézanne, Van Gogh and Modigiani. In 1997 he resumed the United States Street invited by the Camino Real Gallery for a solo show in Boca Raton, Florida. In 1999 he returned to his native places by exhibiting in the house of Piero Della Francesca in Sansepolcro with an exhibition entitled “From the mind to the heart”. Since 2000 he has brought his works between the United States and Europe, passing from the Camino Real Gallery in Florida to the Albemarle Gallery, the Belgravia Gallery in London and the Loch Gallery in Toronto, Canada. Since 2012 he has collaborated with the Nuart Gallery in Santa Fe. Vincenzo Calli, is the heir of all his great Tuscan predecessors, but what is current lies in the dreamlike aspect of his works, where you can identify a sweet irony and romantic resonance. |
