Mid Century silvered bronze erotic letter opener or bookmark with nudes by the French artist Jean Filhos (1921-2002) This model was created as the official 1974 Christofle Christmas gift (source: Christofle Museum and Archives service) He studied both architecture and sculpture, but after his meeting with Laurens, which affected him deeply, he abandonned his work as an architect to devote himself entirely to sculpture and metalwork. In 1960, he discovered synthetic materials, which were to become, from that moment on, the element through which he most naturally expressed himself.
